Miss Clarissa began as Miss Ethel — his best-selling rolling pin, carried since the early days. Then he decided to dress her up a bit, using a more time-consuming process that creates something truly stunning. The evolution became Miss Clarissa, named after his dear friend Clarissa Robinson.
He first met Clarissa when he sat between her and her twin sister Melissa in Kindergarten — four years old, side by side. Clarissa passed away in January. This rolling pin is his way of celebrating someone who made him laugh, was always in his corner, and supported his craft like a devoted champion — telling anyone and everyone within earshot about his work.

Made from the Land, Built to Last
Rooted in a multi-generational family woodworking tradition in rural Tennessee, the vast majority of the wood comes from their own parcels of land — Black Walnut, Cherry, and Maple, locally sourced and zero-waste by design. Even the shavings find a new home in Raku firing or garden compost. Nothing is wasted. Everything is intentional.
These pieces are made to last a lifetime — durable enough to use, not just admire. The grain, tone, and character of the wood are part of the design. Each piece is, quite naturally, one of a kind.
